regulars will remember the 'temporary' roof bubba wicks and i erected on that 

classic cornwall-and-back-in-a-day mission prior to purchase.

then came roof v.2      again, this was a temporary solution to last a few 

weeks 'till a builder came.

5 months later said builder starts .!!

believe it or not the whole roof was at this stage within 3 days - and we're dry ..!!

now the monotonous bit - 3 tons of slates are scribed, trimmed if necessary

and copper-nailed into position.

worthy of note here are the sky-lights in the 'sleigh room' and the flue for

the rayburn
