incorrect digger use |
the chimney was - frankly - a poor demonstration of brick-laying by the previous owner.
it has a slight twist and wasn't particularly robust - it also wasn't required as the stove has been removed.
to remove it safely - i weakened the bottom course of bricks and 'split' the bottom layer of mortar
then it was just a case of pushing it over - but when you've got a digger on hand, well - why not .?!?!

a bit of a lean - check i) the look on my face, and ii) the supporting hand
as if the hand would help ..!! the digger *did* have a seat belt, and i was wearing it at this point.
going going
gone - it landed with more of a plop than a bang - there was a lot of soot, but basically no problems.
me hunter - kill wild animal - eat meat - grrrrrr. .oO(nice outfit)
one other thing to note in this sequence is the headlights on the digger - why ..!!
